The theme for the whole school is supposed to be peace but I can do something different if its good enough. Do any of you parents, teachers or homeschooling mums have any good ideas? What is it that you find appealing in your children's parties? Anything you tried out that worked/or didn't work?
Thanks!
Eric Carle books make great plays..& the children learn them quick because it's repetition. Short & sweet is always best. Or maybe when I grow up ...Have each child make an outfit that goes with a career choice??? It's always super cute to see children talk about their goals. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWe used a book called If Peace Is.... I got it from Amazon. I know it is used a lot in Montessori schools in USA. We did an assembly using this book. On each page is a sentence about peace and the whole hangs together as a lovely poem. All the parents were in tears at the end!!!
ReplyDeletedidn't some of ur children write poems in diffrent occasions through the year??maybe you can use them...because u once did put one in ur blog and i was so amazed..was about snow or something?
ReplyDeleteHi, N. I need to ask you about the grammar booklet that you have up on Lulu. My boss bought it but it hasn't been delivered. She asked me to get in touch with you but I can't find an email! Sorry for using your comments page but it seems to be the only way to contact you. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteit can be through a competition on which you divide them in groups and ask each group general knowledge questions
ReplyDeleteex.:What s the longest river in the world?etc....................

And let it begin with me
Let There Be Peace on Earth
The peace that was meant to be
Brothers all are we
With God as our Ceator
We are one family
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With ev'ry step I take
Let this be my solemn vow;
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
